Founded by experiential and architectural designer Megan Baker, Coterie exists to make creativity communal — transforming everyday environments into living rooms for Austin’s art community. Through a series of rotating pop-up art cafés, workshops, and gatherings, Coterie invites people to slow down, make something with their hands, and share in the process of creation.

Each activation is an experiment in belonging: a place to play, learn, and connect with local artists while rediscovering the joy of making. Rooted in design, hospitality, and community care, Coterie is reimagining how we experience art — not as a spectator, but as a participant.
